How to Search BidFTA Auctions

Get the most out of FTA Shark's search tools with these tips.

How do I search for items across multiple locations?

Use the Locations filter in the left sidebar (desktop) or tap the Filters button (mobile). You can select multiple BidFTA warehouse locations at once—hold Ctrl/Cmd to pick several. Your search results update instantly to show items from all selected locations across Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, and more.

What are automated snipes and how do I use them?

Snipes are scheduled bids that FTA Shark places automatically in the final seconds of an auction. Set your maximum bid amount, and our system waits until the optimal moment—typically 3-5 seconds before closing—then places your bid. This prevents bidding wars and keeps prices low. Look for the "Schedule Bid" button on any item.

How do I filter by auction ending time?

The Ending dropdown lets you see only auctions closing soon. Options include 15 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, 24 hours, or 3 days. This helps you focus on auctions you can actively monitor or snipe before they close.

How do I monitor live auction listings effectively?

The search table updates in real-time—current bids, bid counts, and time remaining refresh automatically. Items ending soonest appear first by default. Watch the "Ends" column for countdowns. For items you want to track, use the watchlist feature or set up a snipe to ensure you don't miss the auction close.

What do the MSRP and Deal columns mean?

MSRP shows the manufacturer's suggested retail price when available. The Deal column highlights items where the current bid is significantly below retail value—helping you spot bargains quickly. Filter by MSRP range to find items in your target price bracket.

Can I search by keyword or item title?

Yes! Use the search box at the top of the table. Type any keyword—brand names, product types, model numbers—and results filter instantly. Combine keyword search with location and category filters for precise results.

How do I search and filter auction items?

FTA Shark offers powerful search and filtering tools. Use the search box for keyword searches, then combine with filters: Locations (select specific BidFTA warehouses), Category (Electronics, Toys, Furniture, etc.), Condition (Brand New, Like New, As Is), MSRP range, Bid price range, and Ending time. All filters work together—apply multiple filters to narrow down to exactly what you're looking for.
