On the verge of adulthood, Orianna Brightwater wishes only to strike out on her own. All plans are dashed one horrific morning when her village is attacked by unknown assailants. Their journey takes them miles from their woodland Barrow Village, to faraway lands and kingdoms with peoples vastly different than any they’ve known at home.
