The included push-in connectors simplify wiring, while the medium base porcelain socket supports a variety of bulb types,including A19, BR30, and PAR30, for flexible lighting design. IC22 housings include an adjustable socket plate and detachable socket with snap-in springs to accommodate various lamp and trim combinations. From the Manufacturer The IC22W 6-Inch Downlight Incandescent Housing is an IC rated, energy efficient Air-Loc sealed new construction housing. The housing has an adjustable socket plate and detachable socket with snap-in springs to accommodate various bulb and trim combinations. The socket plate is secured at two points to ensure consistent bulb positioning and holds a medium base porcelain socket with nickel-plated copper screw shell that accepts an incandescent light bulb. Bulb wattage ratings and apertures are based on trim selection. Installation is made easy with the Real Nail 3 telescoping system featuring bugle-headed nails for easy repositioning in joist construction and integral T-bar clip to secure in suspended ceiling grid. Patented breakaway bars for tight joist spacing and curved foot facilitates alignment with joist bottom. Quick-Loc slot and oversized set screw lock fixture in position. Bar hangers may be re-positioned 90 degrees. The IC22W includes a pre-wired junction box with (5) 1/2-Inch and (1) 3/4-Inch knockouts, (4) non-metallic sheathed cable connectors, ground wire and push-in electrical connectors for fast, secure installation. UL Listed, C-UL/CSA certified for through-branch wiring, with maximum of (8) 12-AWG conductors. Wet location listed when using a 239, 241 or 242 trim. The wet listing also includes the 28 and 29 trims when used with PAR30/PAR38 outdoor rated bulbs. All trims are sold separately and come in a wide variety of styles and finishes, including the 24, 25, 27, 226, 228, 229, 231, 244, 247, 248, 249, 250, 252, 264, 267, 9024, 9324, 9524, 9702, 9900 or XR30101 trims.
