A three-way rotary switch is located coveniently on the socket and a clear cord comes neatly out of the base. The 3-way rotary socket switch will only work with a 3-way light bulb, otherwise this lamp will function with simple on/off switch at its highest setting. This lamp is smart outlet compatible. Bulb is not included. All Adesso lighting products are either UL listed or ETL listed, meaning it has been tested and approved to meet the government-regulated safety standards for the USA.
